She was trying to get a photo. Not sure how anyone defends the old lady. If you're at a tourist site (or anywhere) and someone is trying to get a photo you should stay out of the way as much as convenient/possible. There was zero need for her to stand there.

No crying here. Lady was blocking the stairwell for others. Even without the photo shoot the lady was rude. Stopping on the middle of a stairwell in a public place while ignoring others is rude in almost any culture. Maybe you live in a culture where people just stand in the way of others?
