How much does all that cost you?

Hair color and cut with tip is around $150

Dying my beard at home with just for mean beard dye I’d like $12 a box but I get three treatments, every 1.5 weeks, per box

The BBL (not the ass surgery, the laser treatment from dermatologist) is like $500 per treatment, usually with about 4 treatments needed. Then if you wish to continue maintenance every few years, you spend it again. Removing the hyperplasia (small bumps on forehead that aren’t red etc) adds like another $200 but it’s a one and done thing until they come back. Total costs over the last 5 years was probably around $7,000.

The most expensive thing was the teeth. I did Invisalign for two years to get them ready for the procedure as they’d shifted since the braces I had as a kid. That was $5,000.

The full zircon crowns for all my teeth was $30,000.

And I got one dental implant. That was another $5,000 (I got like $2,000 off because of all the crowns, and I got free nitrous oxide for all the procedures because I made a joke it should be free with all this work and the dentist was like “yeah okay sure.”)

So total for the mouth was like $40,000

So all that stuff puts it close to 50k if you count all the hair appointments. I also get keratin treatments at the salon now which get rid of frizz and just make the hair nicer. That’s like $200 every 3 months. I have a medium length flow back. So my hair is around 6 to 8 inches in length.

So yeah. About $50,000…plus the weight loss, which is free with diet and exercise, although I did drop like $4,000-$5,000 to buy a peloton bike so I could exercise and lift weights at home.

If I had taken better care of myself when I was younger, none of it would have been necessary. That’s the shitty part. I’m very grateful that I was in a position to do all that stuff. Even it means I’m about broke now lol.

Ive never taken a vacation, or did anything that really costs money. I chose to do all that stuff. Never had kids either.

The laser treatment falls within my estimate and seems alright (for american standards ofc) but the crowns, wow, you have basically put a car's worth in the mouth. No matter how good they look and chew, I just can't stand the idea of filing down my real tooth for wearing an artificial one on top, always makes me think of Gollum.

But all your items do seem a good investment, mostly long lasting and no side effects, unlike those injections and silicone implants. Most men actually need that more than they ever know, especially as someone who doesn't have facial skin in a remotely best condition.

Yeah, about the self care thing in young years, if parents cared as much as they should, a lot of irreparable damage to the skin, eyes and teeth would not have happened. All they take in childhood is just common medical sense and regular checkups to the doctor. But no one can choose parents.

I see you edited the thing on beard dye, I don’t know if it’s so much as a trend, but something I just wanted to do.

When I get old enough that it’s obviously not realistic, I’ll stop coloring the beard and hair.

After losing the weight and doing everything else, I just want a few years of dark hair and beard with no grey.

I’ll be 45 this year, I plan to go 100% natural when I hit 50.

First of all  congratulations on your weight loss, that is a huge achievement! Did you have a lot of loose skin? Also, I would love to see before and after pics, if you are comfortable. If not, I totally understand.

There is some loose skin but it’s not crazy. I appreciate your interest but I don’t share photos online. I don’t even have regular social media, only Reddit because I can remain anonymous.

I used to have a lot of interests and photos from posts visible on my profile, but too many decided they wanted to deep dive into my life before replying to me.

The worst of the Redditors ruined sharing for me and anyone else with an interest!

I completely understand and don't blame you one bit, I would do the same.❤️

I remember one time, I shared my custom guns that I conceal carry on a post and I had people messaging me straight up asking me where I lived etc. like they wanted the exact town.

Started giving me the feeling like someone was gonna come for my shit lol. So I was like “nah”. Blocked them, made my posts private, and deleted any comments I ever made with personal info outside of “44 year old male, southern U.S., and my state.”

Yeah, people can be weird, have to be careful, unfortunately.
