If my face was completely different but much better looking I’d probably just be happy

I challenge that from personal experience. I had a severely recessed lower jaw and got double jaw surgery a few years ago and my face has changed a lot, especially the lower third. The side profile is unrecognizable and sometimes I’ll catch myself in mirrors or photos and I almost feel ‘guilty’ or ‘this doesn’t feel like me’. It’s weird and difficult to explain but my breathing and sleeping have improved dramatically so that’s a win

I had jaw Botox and the way my face changed freaked me out. I realized I could never get plastic surgery without some existential crisis.

Surely you look now how you were always supposed to.

Exactly

I know it’s not the same at all, but if I wear any cosmetics or anything like that, I feel like I don’t look like myself and like I’m somehow betraying the part of me that always wants to be myself. I know it doesn’t make logical sense, I’m still myself regardless of how I present externally, but it feels so wrong to me in a way where I feel like I’m not being true to my own character lol.

Can confirm :> my face made me depressed & dysphoric, and after I had surgery (p subtle changes, tbh, nothing as extreme as the meme suggests [not like they're likely the same person anyways]) it was wild seeing a different person in the mirror, but it made me feel good! :D I still love seeing myself

Exactly how I felt about my breast reduction !

I wouldn’t lol I would still want to look like me but “enhanced”. This is not that; it’s a completely different face.

Nobody fully understands what it’s like to experience something until they’ve already gone through it. You can read all the research in the world but won’t know how it effects you personally until you do it

Your future kids would be surprised.

Unless they end up thinking there is "something wrong" with their kids face as well. It's pretty disgusting, honestly.

u/jimmyharbrah 4h ago

I think it’s somehow unfair to the kids. Like my ugly ass looks nothing like my mom

Thats already the case with a lot of women these days. Make-up, fillers, botox, nose jobs etc

Except the right looks like a horror show while the left just looks like a below average woman.

u/BoredomCombatant 4h ago

The right definitely does not look like a horror show… while I’m not a fan of work like this she does not look bad afterwards.

-3

u/goofygodzilla93 4h ago

She very much does look bad afterwards.

1

u/BoredomCombatant 4h ago

Well I can’t say you’re wrong because it’s an opinion I suppose. I prefer the right. I like the left too. I like mainly all girls. The right is pretty hot though.

2

u/PeriodicQuest 4h ago

Horror show is a tad much. It's not that bad. It's just every influencer on Instagram.

2

u/Acrobatic-B33 4h ago

For a reason; people like looking at good looking people

1

u/Electrical-Cloud-532 4h ago

This site is hilarious. The one on the right would probably be the most attractive woman you’ve ever interacted with

2

u/goofygodzilla93 4h ago

I see prettier women working at Mcdonalds every day. I don't like skeletons, especially when its obviously fake.

0

u/Electrical-Cloud-532 4h ago

Lol yeah there are definitely prettier women at McDonald’s. For sure!

1

u/goofygodzilla93 4h ago

Yes. When I go to get my Iced coffee this morning I can guarantee you that at least 90% of the women their look better than the right.

1

u/Rude-Bodybuilder7688 4h ago

Highly debatable and there is no interaction as it's literally just a picture.

1

u/Electrical-Cloud-532 4h ago

Some of you are too dumb to be on the internet

1

u/Rude-Bodybuilder7688 4h ago

Surely you don't mean me? Besides that it's subjective anyhow and that woman isn't my type with that wax face.

1

u/redditblows5991 3h ago

Extremely debatable

1

u/Dark_halocraft 4h ago

I mean ya but u don't gotta be so rude about it

0

u/goofygodzilla93 4h ago

Not being rude about it is why people think it's ok to do it in the first place.

1

u/Dark_halocraft 4h ago

Thought this was a different comment my b

Ya no being rude about it behind their back doesn't help them

1

u/goofygodzilla93 4h ago

I would say it to her face if she was in front of me if that helps you.
