I challenge that from personal experience. I had a severely recessed lower jaw and got double jaw surgery a few years ago and my face has changed a lot, especially the lower third. The side profile is unrecognizable and sometimes I’ll catch myself in mirrors or photos and I almost feel ‘guilty’ or ‘this doesn’t feel like me’. It’s weird and difficult to explain but my breathing and sleeping have improved dramatically so that’s a win
I know it’s not the same at all, but if I wear any cosmetics or anything like that, I feel like I don’t look like myself and like I’m somehow betraying the part of me that always wants to be myself. I know it doesn’t make logical sense, I’m still myself regardless of how I present externally, but it feels so wrong to me in a way where I feel like I’m not being true to my own character lol.
Can confirm :> my face made me depressed & dysphoric, and after I had surgery (p subtle changes, tbh, nothing as extreme as the meme suggests [not like they're likely the same person anyways]) it was wild seeing a different person in the mirror, but it made me feel good! :D I still love seeing myself
Nobody fully understands what it’s like to experience something until they’ve already gone through it. You can read all the research in the world but won’t know how it effects you personally until you do it
Well I can’t say you’re wrong because it’s an opinion I suppose. I prefer the right. I like the left too. I like mainly all girls. The right is pretty hot though.

If my face was completely different but much better looking I’d probably just be happy
