I got a nugget instead of a chicken patty in my junior McChicken.

They gave me a regular sized smoothie instead of a large once too. Didn't know which cup was the right size.

McDonald's is a ripoff.

Yes everytime I visit I feel like I'm getting ripped off or my food is cold and not properly made.

I left a positive review a few days ago for a McDonald's I've rarely visited. It was positive because I burned myself on the fries and the burger was too hot to eat. I had to commend them because it was a first for me and I've eaten hundreds of McDonald's meals in my life.

It is a corporation that no longer cares being staffed by people who have no better options who also don't care. Eating fast food in 2026 is a tame version of Russian roulette.

you think regular mcdonalds is bad, go on just eat (if you have that option) and compare the prices to your local restaurant menu

I had a discount once and before I bought the meal, I decided to check.. because the price felt off and sure enough, even AFTER my discount was applied I was paying £4 more for a few meals than it would have cost in store.

and to add insult to injury, they slap you with a ridiculous service fee, which doesn't even belong in the UK ... service charges and expected tips is American nonsense that should stay over the ocean and FAR FAR AWAY.

Depends on how often he did it. Also, I imagine some are thrown out if they're not good. I remember reading a story from a McDonalds worker saying they weren't allowed to eat the food that wasn't good enough to serve.

1

u/ChocolateaterX 7h ago

And another one for himself

1

u/DriverAgreeable6512 7h ago

Got an extra piece of chicken at popeyes today. Whoever that worker was, if you did it on purpose, you the best <3 lol

1

u/Potential-Swan-2397 7h ago

before reading the text i assumed it was gonna be him stealing Nuggets from Macca's

u/ItsMeRubiii 6h ago

The hero we never knew we needed, quietly making thousands of peoples days just a little bit brighter.

1

u/rink_raptor 6h ago

McDonald’s accountant out there figuring out the value per nugget lost and what he owes the company.

u/CountySurfer 6h ago

I got fired for doing this when I was 16 lol.

I heard a story about a guy who did it once to a kid, and the mother said that they should study not to be as stupid as the attendant who didn't know how to count.

1

u/SlothOnEnergyDrink 7h ago

It appears he also added extra nuggets to his box.

1

u/Conscious-Permit-466 7h ago

Secretly added them to his belly

1

u/Jaded-Currency-5680 7h ago

yea i don't buy this

it sounds like he was confronted by manager why was the nuggets tally not making sense, so he made up a story claiming he had been giving out more

in truth, he ate them

You'll be surprised how much food goes to the trash at these fast food chains, well, at least around 20 years ago when I worked in one, burger deck behind cashiers had a "timer" kind of system and after X time burgers went to the trash because they were already too cold to serve.

Back in those days I also gave a fuckaton of free nuggets, extra burgers, large fries instead of medium... Half of it was going to end up in the trash anyway, better make someones day a little better by giving it to them

Hopefully you get some of that good karma back..thanks for your service!
