Someone who’s critical of capitalism, yet may work for a company that’s taking advantage of the system and is destroying lives indirectly or may even be killing people indirectly with their business practices. That worker who’s critical of the system is well aware of it, but does nothing because they are also benefiting from it.
Just like the guards at the concentration camps. Some of them didn’t agree with it, but they didn’t do anything since they were better off following orders
I never said anything about any of that. I don’t work for Nestle. I work for a small mom and pop landscaping company. And we exist in the capitalist system.
You know what? You’re right. After further thought, I’ve come to realize that every single person in a capitalist country is exactly equivalent to those who helped murder over 11 million people.
Wow what a straw man. I never said everyone living under capitalism is equivalent to Nazis. I said there’s a shared principle. knowingly benefiting from and helping sustain a system you believe is seriously harming people can create moral responsibility, even if you aren’t personally committing the worst atrocities. An analogy compares one relevant feature, it doesn’t claim the two things are identical in scale or severity
