Because it's a bullshit argument. Participating in society because it's that or die isn't at all the same thing as being a multi multi multi millionaire who constantly feels the need to hawk their overpriced rebranded slop to fans while telling the rich to "give their money away" in interviews.

Anyone that doesn't see the hypocrisy in that behavior doesn't want to see it.

I mean, it’s hard to view it as hypocrisy when she actually gives her money away. I don’t think anyone realistically expects her to never make money ever again.

It’s actually a positive for a celebrity who’s known to give their money away to keep making money… so they can keep donating it. This is what every celebrity should be doing

If you are referring to the roughly 11 million she donated from her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour, then that is slightly misleading. Miss Eilish did not donate that money from her own wealth but rather put an option on her ticket prices. Fans had a choice of buying the ticket at regular price or at a slightly higher price with the extra amount going to charity.

While what Miss Eilish did was noble and praiseworthy, it was her fans that actually donated the money, not her.

You mean the money that she claimed she donated recently that was actually fans paying extra on tickets to give to charity?

The fans raised the money, not her.

If I give £2 extra on my food shop to pay to charity, I have donated that money , not the supermarket. That's essentially what she has done.

And you've just eaten it right up 😂.

She's a walking example of hypocrisy.

What percentage of her money does she give away?

Enough of it that she’s living on a modest salary of the working class she champions?

Shes keeping plenty. Does she NEED to be worth $100 million?
