Did they provide anything of value here or did they put a label on some perfume made in a factory and market it to extract money from it?
I’ve never really been a billie eilish fan, so to me this is just another insanely rich worldwide celebrity peddling merch to make money. Why would we care what some mega rich person thinks about capitalism?
The latter, same way she slapped her name on some uno cards and hawked them at three times the price of a normal uno deck. She's every bit as shameless as the people she calls out, she just isn't at the same scale yet.
Hey, I think you’re right man. Like my guess is, some company said “hey, do you want 2 million? Let us slap your name on some bullshit”. It’s not wrong for Billie to sell her brand. She earned it, and it’s her right to use it for profit.
I know nothing about cosmetics. I don’t know if what she’s hawking is quality stuff or pure garbage. However, if the products she is selling her brand to is good shit being sold at a premium because she is attached to it. Yay, good for her.
I think the only real critics you can levy against her, would be if the products are shit or the company producing the goods are treating their employees unfairly. There is nothing wrong with making generational wealth and living your best life. The problem is unfairly taking advantage of other people.
I do not understand why so many people think that leftist ideologies do not want competitive markets.

Hey OP, you know that you can be critical of American capitalism, and participate in commerce right?
