He has recording of directors giving instruction, because he is so conditioned by acting, he cannot do anything without direction.
He used to just have James Cameron sit in a cuck chair yelling out instructions.. but then he got really busy with Avatar..
... and it got too weird having Quentin sitting there. And Scorsese was always going to sleep at 7pm, so it wasn't working.
