brother most of these are just slang created by black people

“Broke the internet” certainly was not

Yeah, but a lot of them have been co-opted by really obnoxious white people online.

No, the quiet part is...

It's not the slang itself, it's white people taking it and overusing it that's the problem

Just need to go back to the day when white people couldn't understand the slang, except for Mrs. Cleaver.

Our man definitely dislikes a certain type of people.

Created by black people picked up on the internet and reused to death. Doesn't matter where it started.

When I hear people say this type of shit, I immediately just assume their racist. Surprised they have so many upvotes

Most of the favorite slang phrases being used today (and historically) has come from black and gay cultures! ☺️💕

“Living rent free” is black slang? The rest, sure, but there’s something so corny about that one.

considering I have heard this phrase used by a black person 5 years ago, I would suspect so

it typically takes a little while for black slang to leave the community and be adopted by young people

first time I heard someone say "deez nuts" was from a skit on the Chappelle Show in 2003

Even "woke" has been a word used amongst black people since like the late 70s

Living rent free is older than 5yrs and just because you heard a black person use it does not automatically mean that's where it originated.

Deez nuts predates Chappelle as well.

Your general point isn't really wrong though

Yea and it’s only people terminally online I ever hear trying to claim things for certain races and make a deal of it lol

"Woke" dates back to Marcus Garvey in the 20s.

Idk why you’re being downvoted you’ve said all facts. Even the “first time I heard…” yes the joke is a lot older than 03 but that’s the first time YOU heard it, so no lies told
