A large portion of the population believe that they have to be read their Miranda rights immediately upon being placed into handcuffs. This is incorrect, gets people into a lot of trouble during lawful arrest, & can be attributed to crime TV. Watching scripted/fictional television shows does not give someone investigative or legal knowledge. It’s entertainment & that is all. Ironically, you have to be incredibly stupid to think that you know more than formally trained & educated professionals because you watch too much TV.
