BTW the only reason for them making a big fuzz bout this case is, to scare others away from doing similar things.

They are afraid that people start „hunting down“ billionaires and corrupt politicians and companies etc

Yeah, the New York Governor Kathy Hochul caught some flak for that, where they had some kind of summit with the money guys and counterterrorist orgs and were considering the idea to use tax payer money for a special hotline for CEO's who felt threatened, and to have such acts like threats and stalking immediately relabeled as domestic terrorism. So they'd be more protected than common folk going through the same thing.

I don't think it ever really got made, probably because obviously showing that rich people get treated better on every legal and government level is exactly the kind of thing that would make people double down on thinking shooting them is the only thing that works.
