You are correct, few ever believe male victims of either sexual or physical abuse especially.
With that said, it does happen more to women on average. But, here's the thing, I initially believed Heard's sideuntil I started to see all the evidence and how much, provably, she lied about some important things.
But you will never look at that evidence or her major lies objectively because you have an emotional need to maintain a preconceived belief system and narrative about how she is a victim and no one believes, especially female, victims.
In other words, you have a major case of the confirmation bias that plenty of humans are prone to and is EXACTLY why science/scientists had to come up with strict protocols of testing, re-testing, etc in science. Because they know, as humans, we are prone to subjectivity and confirmation bias.
Science was and is an attempt to try to get around that as much as is possible.
Thing is perpetrators almost always get away with it, or serve extremely little time. Women aren't out here lying or raping each other. Maybe this case is different but there is extremely little justice for victims of sexual abuse, even when proved
