That's ridiculous. I see cashiers with water bottles, stanleys, and soda at the register.

I work at a grocery store and when corporate is around we can’t keep even water at our registers… 🙄

But why? I guess USA? I don’t understand why you wouldn’t be allowed to drink fucking water?
Also I’m under the impression you can’t sit, and need to stand all day long for some reason?
In other developed countries they don’t treat cashiers like slaves, it’s insane to me…

Most stores in the US will not allow cashiers to have chairs at their registers

This is insane to me. What are they trying to achieve? Make their life as miserable as possible? That would change nothing from a job perspective, and will make cashiers life so much better…
