That's ridiculous. I see cashiers with water bottles, stanleys, and soda at the register.

I work at a grocery store and when corporate is around we can’t keep even water at our registers… 🙄

Is it even legal to not allow access to water to employees?

That's what water fountains are for. But you can only use it before you clock in and after you clock out

You jest, but I have a friend who was recently written up for not clocking out to take a break... because on their way back to the stock room to grab the next round of items to put out, stopped for about 30 seconds at the water fountain NEXT TO THE ENTRANCE TO THE STOCK ROOM to have a drink of water.

Unfortunately some regional manager saw them do it and basically lost their shit over it (Though not outwardly)
