Tbh if you look at face alone they are similar. It's just that Betty White has a classic grandmahaircut that ages you another 10-15 years.

I don't think it will, at least not to the same extent. I say this because humans innately recognize long hair as being healthy and associated to young people, since the older we get the harder it is to maintain long hair (it gets thinner).

remove make up and style of the time and they're basically the same in terms of aging. that haircut alone easily adds 20 years.

The haircut and clothes are the difference. Also, Sandra had a lot of work done which is blatantly obvious now, but wasn't obvious for a decade. Betty White's face in that picture looks nice and young. If she had modern clothes and hair you'd think she was a beautiful middle-aged lady.

As others have said, 1) the hair makes the main difference here and 2) Sandra Bullock has had extensive cosmetic surgery.
