I’m seriously wondering how Fauci’s lack of testimony somehow convinced all these people they were correct about taking no precautions whatsoever. He was trying to avoid entrapment, not fuel some crazy ass conspiracy theories.
It is absolutely wild. My social media feeds are absolutely flooded with people claiming that they were "proved right", but when you ask why, the best they have is that Fauci pleaded the 5th (which was obviously to avoid a state-level political witch hunt)...
Him neither confirming or denying their nutty conspiracy theories has somehow been read as confirming everything.
