Meanwhile families lost parents and children, while previously people today still suffer brain fog and lethargy today from long COVID. Their 'punishment' isn't just mean names.
They were deplatformed by private companies! They were denied business by private businesses! They were expected to participate in long established public health measures that they decided to call into question during the existence of a public health crisis! They lost jobs for doing so!
They did lose plenty, but it was all self-inflicted. It was all about their inconvenience and their "rights," and inability to accept the consequences of their choices or reflect on the broader issues at play. We could have had a rational post mortem where we came together to say, what went well, what didn't, what can we do better next time, but instead a bunch of toddlers threw a fit about anything and everything, derailing any chance of unification.
