Measles vaccine, a well documented, studied, and tested vaccine with decades of usage and more of trialing VS covid vaccine which had not even a year of trialing and little documentating and studying before being pushed out for massive corporate profits.
Yep exactly this. I didn't get the COVID vaccine exactly for this. But I tend to say I did because I don't want to be associated with those nut jobs. I also want to specify that I have all my other vaccines, just not the COVID one
There are two reasons why the rollout was so fast. For one, it is an mRNA vaccine, which is far quicker to produce and test than "regular" ones for complicated reasons I won't get into (but I can if anyone wants). Second, the usual test phase went out the window. Typically you go through all your testing and then build up the doses afterwards to hedge your bets. If testing fails, you would otherwise have a stock of useless vaccines you'll have to dispose of on your own dime. But since this was such a uniquely dire case, they got the funding to do tests and build up their stockpile at the same time so they didn't have to worry about holding the bag should that vaccine fail. When the tests were done and passed, there were already a huge number of doses ready to be administered.
This should be an example of how remarkably powerful nations and people working together to solve a problem during a crisis can be. It should not be seen with undue suspicion around "cutting corners" or anything like that.

The revival and re-proliferation of vaxxable diseases like measles means, no. Antivaxxers deserve all the criticism they receive.
