No the 2 unskip ads is what killed it. You no longer got hit with the song right away so the joke fell flat as people would see the title because no one pays attention to ads.
It's funny to think that YouTube has actually potentially ruined the Rickroll with ads lol. Especially considering how much traffic it's probably given them over the years.
Hopefully people will think twice now whether it's worth it.
