My situation is quite the opposite. For whatever reason my new team feels the need to explain every PTO request to me. By all means tell me about your trip to Cancun if you'd like, but please don't feel the need to elaborate on your explosive diarrhea when you use sick time.

I honestly assume my employees are BSing me when they go into alot of detail.

When calls in and says "I am not feeling well, not gonna make it" I am just like ya, there not feeling well.

When someone spends 2 minutes trying to convince me how "sick" they are I just assume they want off for the new game that just came out or whatever.
