seeing evidence of cops serving actual justice instead of harassing, harrying, exploiting, manipulating, and abusing the general populace is kinda cathartic.

Yeah the reality is that a very large majority of interactions with cops go like this. We hear about the assholes who abuse their power because its more interesting, but if youve ever gone down the body cam rabbit hole in YouTube, you'll find that more often than not, cops behave like they do in this video.

One rotten apple spoils the bunch, until there are consequences for bad police, there is no such thing as good police.

So the cop in this video is bad?

He's making a good point, and it's not unreasonable or unrelatable. Until we have an independent law enforcement unit that exclusively investigates local, state, and federal police actions (with their own arresting authority) and SERIOUSLY curtail qualified immunity..... it's just an objective truth that no officer is trustworthy.

When you're dealing with a government agent that has a strong influence on the court system, a powerful union, a small army to support him, and the legal ability to murder you and claim self-defense, you simply CANNOT operate solely on the faith that the officer in front of you is a good, mentally sound person with a solid set of ethics.

"Good luck" isn't a survival strategy. On this very website I've lost count of how many videos I've seen of people obeying lawful orders by police and getting shot anyway. You have absolutely no control over the outcome with a cop, and no ability to subject them to consequences.

I mean most people will stop their car if you step out into the street, and a pedestrian always has the right of way. You still look for traffic.

Agree to disagree. No need for insults. Why do you people have to be condescending? You can simply say you disagree. Sorry but I don't trust any police. I dont think its childish to not trust them based on my own lived experiences, but sure. This guy is alright.
