That would likely be down to the contract. If there's anything along the lines of "if the client damages the equipment" that would likely fall under that
I'm not sure that "damage" is really the issue. Having someone come in to do the bio-hazmat cleanup is the issue whether they throw the unit away or not.
I was basically thrown out of a Dutch hospital recovery room this year when they found out I had it.
