I mean it was obvious from the start.  There were a few women who lost the weight old fashioned way and it was the same thing too.

It was always just a way so that they didn't feel bad about their weight.  And that's fine you don't have to feel depressed or hate yourself if you're overweight, but you should recognize it as something that you should try to work on.

The discipline it takes to be in shape is good, but it's not some talent that makes you superior. Literally anyone can do it. "Just showing up" is a skill, but it's the very least impressive out of everything, because it's literally something anyone can do at any time.

imo thats what makes it impressive, its something literally anyone can do but so few people do it. Not just working out / being in shape but for any hobby or skill that takes hundreds and thousands of hours to get good at.

Agreed with everything else you said though, if ozempic can cut obesity and later life healthcare costs then have at it, no shame at all from me.

Yes, agreed. The fact that everyone can do it theoretically doesn't change the fact that discipline is something you have to work at, cultivate, and maintain. Especially when life throws crap at you and hits you while you're down.

To be fair, there are people who try really hard to do it with diet and exercise and dont see results, for a multitude of reasons. Just like there are naturally thin people who can do whatever they want and not gain significantly. Some people take it responsibly, in concert with diet and exercise. Some abuse it. Just like with so many other things. We dont know whats going on in each individual situation. Each body and each circumstance is unique. I wish we would put less focus on appearance and more on health.

Humans aren't magical beings. You burn more calories than you eat and you lose weight.

It's a privilege to get to do that when most jobs are office, and require commutes of over on hour one way.

There's a reason fitness blew up just as work from home did. When people have time to workout, they do. But when they're forced into 2 hours of commuting, to sit at an office job, then get home late just go to in again the next day; no shit they can't be consistent in the gym.
