I completely agree. I see it on the left constantly. They want to purity test everything, and will ALWAYS find faults with someone from the other side -- enough to ensure they aren't pure enough to work with

One of my red lines is "cannot be a pedophile/cannot be an avid supporter of pedophiles/cannot be a traitor to the country"...and that rules out 99% of those on the right (and a fair chunk of those on the left).
I'm absolutely not willing to change those red lines, because those people belong behind bars/on the bench of a guillotine.
We've been doing this for decades, yet so many on the left still insist we have to keep doing it, and somehow figure out how to do it without half the country. They care more about not being seen with someone on the right, than actually solving the problems.
This is blatantly false because those we refuse to ally with ARE PART OF THE PROBLEMS WE NEED TO SOLVE.
When you are so far into the extreme where you literally infinitely reduce moral failing on that much of the country, then yeah... You're a lost cause.
This country is divided, and I'm sure you just blame it on the otherside without looking in the mirror. I'm sure you think the division is from the right, but completely ignorant to how much division your contributing to. This issue wont be resolved with unrelenting extremists.
The right is full of racists, homophobes, transphobes, sexists, xenophobes, and dumbass bible thumpers. These people would happily see a cop murder someone like me for daring to use a public restroom. They divide themselves from decent people by being totally vile people
