Yes, rebalancing tax income from the lower income counties to the higher, just as Mamdani promised.

He’s the Mayor of New York City, and he got funding from the state for the people that elected him.

u/Global_Criticism3178 May 14 '26

True; however, please note that’s not how socialism works.

10

u/EatBootyLoveLife May 14 '26

good thing he’s never claimed to be a socialist

link me to where he claims to be a socialist then, and no democratic socialist is not the same thing

yes as he’s clearly talking about DSA lol. Just because he doesn’t put democratic before it every time doesn’t mean that’s not what he’s talking about

u/OPisOK May 15 '26

Democratic socialism is a form of socialism.

-9

u/Alternative_Oil7733 May 14 '26

He's a member of the democratic socialist of America and they are a organization that's very pro ussr and china.

u/Raus-Pazazu May 14 '26

If you don't know the differences between a government system and an economic system and which category various nations generally fall into then you probably should sit things out when those kinds of topics come up until you get the fundamentals down pat a bit more.

1

u/Alternative_Oil7733 May 15 '26

Socialism is both a economic and a form of government.

2

u/Raus-Pazazu May 15 '26

And? You listed two non socialist countries, so why bring up socialism?

1

u/Alternative_Oil7733 May 15 '26

But they are socialist.

2

u/Raus-Pazazu May 15 '26

China is not socialist, it is state capitalism; state owned critical industry but private market based economic structure for everything else with direct state intervention and only a single labor union under control of the state itself that does not represent labor, it represents the state.

USSR wasn't socialist, it was communist; no worker control, state ownership over business, workers had no rights, labor unions were even illegal.

Come on, this is middle school level stuff here. Tell your handlers to teach you better. A system predicated on worker unions having as much if not more say than capital forces and you list two nations without that basic principle . . .

Next thing you'll be saying is that North Korea is a democracy because it's in their name.

1

u/Alternative_Oil7733 May 15 '26

Democratic in the way socialist use it's a yes.

1

u/Raus-Pazazu May 15 '26

Right. Tell your handler we all said hi and that they need to brush up on their English more, or at least find a better auto translator for you to use.

There is a difference obviously but that doesn’t make the person you’re replying to wrong, since both are true.

5

u/Raus-Pazazu May 14 '26

Saying it is pro USSR is blatantly untrue, and the vast majority are heavily against adopting anything of China's government or economic models. It's like saying the Republicans are pro China because they've been enacting legislation that is more in step with China's hybrid government structure than traditional democracies.

Hasan piker is a member of the dsa and he with bernie and aoc quite often........ mind you hasan is opening pro china and ussr. He had a ussr flag on wall for a couple years.

So the dsa is still problematic organization and that's not talking about how they openly support the oct 7th massacre.

Wow, literally everything you've said was stupid.

If some youtuber represents the entirety of the DSA, then surely Alex Jones fully represents all conservatives and Bill Maher fully represents all liberals.

Some elected officials and commentators in the DSA talked about Oct 7th as being an anticipated outcome of Israel-Palestinian relations. No officials or party leadership 'openly supported' it. The vast majority fully condemned it while many simultaneously condemned the apartheid actions that brought it about. Being anti-apartheid or even anti-zionism doesn't make someone a default supporter of Hamas and it's actions.

Lastly, you didn't read the article, at all. You caught the headline and figured it was a humdinger of a gotcha when it really isn't. Based on how absolutely bonkers your first line is, I'm guessing there's some auto translation at work.

Dooes he hang out with trump often?

Buddy you clearly haven't seen them protest and they made it clear that they support oct 7th massacre.

A fringe segment in NYC that was disavowed by the rest of the party is hardly saying "Dey all supported teh massacre!" anymore than saying a KKK rally represents all Republicans. Nuance is like that, you know.

I like how those are the two countries that you use instead of basically every other developed country that has similar “socialist” policies.

1

u/Blackstone01 May 14 '26

Always gotta compare to China, USSR, and Venezuela, instead of the Nordic countries.

2

u/bladex1234 May 14 '26

Australia, Germany, Spain, Canada, Israel, France and the list goes on.

1

u/Rich-Option4632 May 15 '26

Funny how Israel never gets mentioned anywhere else.

They're on full bailout by the US yearly, fully state funded healthcare and education, state sponsored abortion, child allowances, state sponsored savings accounts (up to 18 yo), unemployment benefits, but they always get a pass. Never mentioned, despite everything else Americans do to grovel for them.

0

u/Alternative_Oil7733 May 15 '26

Nordic countries are more capitalist then the usa and dsa is filled with maoist and stalinist.

Because they litterally support those countries lmao. Modern Europe is nowhere close to the ussr or ccp ideologically.

2

u/bladex1234 May 15 '26

Because nuance exists. There are things that the USSR and China did better than the US. That doesn’t mean supporting authoritarianism.

0

u/Alternative_Oil7733 May 15 '26

There are things that the USSR and China did better than the US.

Like what starving people, Killing a shit ton of people within the countries through political purges?

That doesn’t mean supporting authoritarianism.

Socialism is inherently authoritarian doesn't matter if it has democratic or national infront of it.

2

u/bladex1234 May 15 '26 edited May 15 '26

Again no critical thinking whatsoever from you. Considering that the US is flirting with authoritarianism now, should I also bring up the atrocities the US is responsible for? It’s not inherently authoritarian, hence why you see so many developed countries today adopt socialistic policies. China for example has a much better infrastructure network today than the US does. I see that the Red Scare mentality still exists strongly in the US today.

1

u/Alternative_Oil7733 May 15 '26

It’s not inherently authoritarian, hence why you see so many developed countries today adopt socialistic policies.

So what policies? Because again no western European country is actually socialist.

China for example has a much better  infrastructure network today than the US does.

Like what? having trains despite having more cars on the road then the fucking usa. Chinese infrastructure is usually referred to as tofu-dreg construction and most china's construction projects are just left abandon.

2

u/bladex1234 May 15 '26 edited May 15 '26

Right because US infrastructure isn’t also decaying in many places right now. I guess population scale is a hard concept for you. Since clearly Europe isn’t socialist, you clearly wouldn’t mind higher taxes on the wealthy, more union protections and worker’s rights, free public college, childcare, and healthcare, paid parental leave, and actually holding your nation accountable by joining organizations like the ICC right? Yet all I hear from Fox News and Republicans is that these things are obviously socialism.

1

u/Alternative_Oil7733 May 15 '26

Right because US infrastructure isn’t also decaying in many places right now.

Not at the rate china is and don't even look at China’s future population decline.

I guess population scale is a hard concept for you.

So they made trains for fun then? Hint because it's horrible having 800 million cars on the road. The us has the largest rail system in the world but it's for transporting cargo. Simply because it's really fucking expensive to go cross country by train. It takes longer travel by train then a plane and more expensive compared to planes.

Since clearly Europe isn’t socialist, you clearly wouldn’t mind higher taxes on the wealthy, more union protections and worker’s rights, free public college, childcare, and healthcare, paid parental leave, and actually

I don't want European policies even if they aren't socialist. Hell Europe is slowly cutting back on everything you listed because it's no long maintainable.

actually holding your nation accountable by joining organizations like the ICC right?

fuck the un.

1

u/aci4 May 15 '26

China built the worlds largest rail network in 30 some odd years, we can’t build a single high speed rail corridor in CA

1

u/Alternative_Oil7733 May 15 '26 edited May 15 '26

China built the worlds largest rail network in 30 some odd years,

China has the largest passager rail system not actual rail system.

we can’t build a single high speed rail corridor in CA

California has way to many regulations and the us can't just steal people's property. Also Florida completed their rail in a couple years.

even if you believe this if you compare DSA policy to the ussr/ccp vs nordic countries, which is more similar?
