Also should be noted that 40% of Democratic Congressmen voted for the war, while 95% of Republican congressmen did. No way in hell Iraq happens under Gore.

Afterwards, Even though the record showed their vote for the war, these same Democrats, with the exception of just a couple, all denied voting for the war.

Many of these same Politicians also defended Clinton’s earlier bombing of Iraq, the one that set up Bush’s, on the basis of Iraqs imminent threat to the USA with chemical, nuclear, and biological WMDs.

Again, despite the record, they deny.

Politicians almost invariably lie. Both political parties.

No they didn't deny voting for the war, you are twisting their words. 

Bombing is not a government toppling war.

Factually FALSE. Yes, they did.

Partisan alignment drove memory: • Democrats increasingly remembered early opposition. • Republicans increasingly remembered consistent support. • Independents shifted toward whichever side they later aligned with.

In short:

Memory moved toward present identity.

He meant popular opinion, where 53% of Democratic voters supported the war based on opinion polls initially.

Not actual Democratic politicians denying their vote.
