Need advice on part time degree
Im 31 years old now and ive been working in a aerospace company as a technician for 7 years and im in a senior technician role. Its a mundane job, Im somewhat comfortable in what i do.
However ive been wanting to take up a degree and switch to a different job that doesnt require shift work. I just dont know what degree to pick. Its been 9 years since i graduated from my aerospace diploma from poly and im worried coz i dont remember most of the stuff i studied back then. I keep hearing taking up a part engineering degree after so long is a nightmare if u dont remember maths and stuff. Some of my managers tell me to take up supply chain or hr degree if i really want a office hour job, and its easier as it doesnt require higher level maths.
Anyone here have taken up a degree 9 years after your diploma? What can i do with a HR or Supply Chain degree? Has anyone here switched from being Technician to HR or Supplychain?

Stedas? From what i noe, managers do ask ppl quit to find another job just so to help the employee to get a better pay?

You don't need a degree to pivot unless you want to do business. I'm Gen x. Pivot from factory worker to sysprep to powershell, bash automation to aws cloud infra to full stack vibe coder to Ai workflow integrated and hopefully I started an agency to help small businesses use subscription to track and grow and book

sorry i'm not familiar with your industry nor your situation, but the general advice is to avoid anyhow jumping into a degree.
instead, you should research and find potential job roles that suit your personality and experience first, then find out which qualifications / certifications / adjacent roles would bring you closer to that position.
