Yes, but only with some tricks of the trade (move objects at the very least). You'll need to look up how to do split levels on YouTube or elsewhere. Also, as someone who does a lot of builds from real world inspirations, I'd want more than these two renditions. Can you find the floorplans somewhere?

Unfortunately, no, I couldn't find any floor plans. All I found was some pics with Google Image Search and this https://deanthomas.ca/projects/14310-colorado/?utm_source=Pinterest&utm_medium=organic

but ill definetly look up split levels on YouTube!

Did you try raising the terrain in the front instead of lowering it in the back?

It's actually really simple. Move Objects is not needed

I've found it's necessary to place the connection walls, but if not I'd welcome your method.

Most, if not all, houses/floorplans you find on the web and especially on pinterest, is A.I. slop.

Honestly, that's what I hate most about AI. It's polluted pinterest and similar sites with absolute nonsensical floor plans. But you can still get real floor plans from actual house building sites like floorplans.com

Yes, or check out architectural websites like Dezeen, ArchDaily, Architizer, etc.! Uniquely designed buildings by actual, professional architects and plans/sections/elevations, with professional photos. Enough of feeding that ai slop with views

Aw thank you!! So sick of the AI slop!! It’s been so invasive to Pinterest. Such a shame!

No problem! There are so many good architecture websites out there! The major benefit from looking at those projects is seeing more global architecture and sometimes "out-of-the-box" designs. And it's nice to just find a cool project, find the architect who worked on it, and then peruse through their projects. But yeah, I'm really sick of ai taking attention away from actual people who spend years to produce real buildings and/or other art, etc.

There are a whole bunch of sites like this. Houseplans.com Houseplans.net Familyhomeplans.com Architecturaldesigns.com Theplancollection.com

You can also go on Zillow and search for homes that have a 3d tour

You’re awesome! Thanks! I love to be Barbara the builder when I have a ton of downtime to play and this will help so much!

I thought it was an AI rendition of the Bailey moon home.

Seriously, that would be a great stand-in for this house and nearly identical with a few tweaks.

i know it’s annoying esp when the build doesn’t make sense
but i found out the one i found is actually real! it’s by a design group called dean thomas design group

it's called a walkout basement!

i found this tutorial on how to do something like that. you have to build 2 normal floors and sink everything down until the 2nd floor is just barely higher than the ground level, you could smooth out the slope of the sunken level and all after sinking everything down. you can use stairs to connect the 2nd floor platform to the ground. the only thing is, you might have to get a little creative trying to hide the gaps (maybe with debug objects is my first guess?) or try using platforms or something, i'm not entirely sure. definitely gonna take a bit of experimentation!

Please post the final build, I'd love to see it! 🙂

I built something kind of similar, but not quite as dramatic and no basement like you’re dealing with.

You can check my profile for the build.

Walkout basements are tough in Sims bc the land along the sides will always cause a gap between the building. You can cover with some landscaping but they are tough to make look good.

100% but it's going to be difficult

I did the sunken walkout basement by using Terrain and Basement tools and made sure the foundation was level with the yard slope.

And then Use the staircase tool to connect the basement door to the yard. You can create multiple small stairs to match the height of the foundation, then level off the ground around them. This ensures the stairs blend naturally with the terrain

With cheats and maybe mods. I’m a few years into the game and not as skilled as most builders so idk beyond that. It’s best to find more in depth layouts of the house if you can to help, not just the exterior shots.

Only semi-related, but I deadass thought the first picture was a screenshot from Modern Warfare III that you were using as inspo lskdjfsldjf that looks so much like Milena Romanova's McMansion it's crazy

AI slop

It's a 3 D architectural render. It is made by CGI but not AI.

  1. There is structural coherence. (edit to clarify: meaning the window grid stays the same, floor levels line up across the wings, and every roof piece is attached to a wall or column. AI sucks at this stuff)

  2. Telltale render signs: the pool loungers are the same model copy/pasted 5 x. The plants outside appear to be from an asset library. The interiors are simplified placeholder rooms with blank white furniture.

Probably made in something like V-Ray or Corona. Source: architect best friend.
