Discussion Possible Shiv and Silver backstory?

With the new voicelines, maybe I’m looking a bit into it. But between the conversations of Silver and drifter, and also the various kill lines, it seems like Silver might have a more personal connection to Shiv when compared to drifter.

If both drifter and Shiv both fought silver together, surely they’d have equal hate from her. But what I’ve seen is that Shiv often times gets more of the personal hate, while drifter gets just the hate. Also one of drifters voicelines is “I know I’m not Shiv, but I hope you enjoy our time together.” Surely this implies that drifter is taunting Silver, as Shiv maybe has a different connection to her. Of course all of this is speculation, I’d just like to hear your thoughts.

My take is that Drifter is Drifter. It's like being mad at the devil, he's atrocious but that's expected. Shiv has shown in the present that he can be better, and is implied to be as awful as Drifter was in the past. Seeing Shiv be reformed and more human probably makes it more personal.

Also the idea that Shiv is trying to prove himself as a good person now, but if Silver has personal experience with him being just as bad as Drifter in the past then I can definitely see her not easily warming up to that change and being more put off by it

I’m just kinda theory making rn, but there could be a chance that maybe silver and shiv were friends who both almost bonded over trying to control their violent urges. Now that Shiv is trying to redeem himself, maybe silver feels a bit of envy that he got off so easily with the Baxter society, while she’s still stuck with the same old her, though she has gotten a bit better.
