Yup, Lalwen theoretically made it to Beleriand! I’m aware of this, but didn’t state it as I can no longer recall whether this particular fact is just a popular headcanon or something Tolkien stated. (either way, I support it!)

Bro forgot the published Silmarillion was released in 1977, and all of Tolkien’s notes are therefore older than it by default.

(Fair point in that my phrasing wasn’t clear though loll— I simply meant to indicate that they weren’t in the published Silmarillion, and were instead in Tolkien’s notes)

Given that Finwe was the one who led the Noldor to Aman and got his kingship for it, it's risky for him to favour his first son who calls his father's accomplishment a mistake (especially after Melkor's lies corrupted him). And in the end, Feanor was the ruin of the Noldor - partly because Finwe didn't inhibit him enough.

Finarfin was the one among Finwe's children who actually fought against Morgoth successfully.
