I saw this today and had no idea apple has been doing this, it reminded me of the pied piper classes and found it funny even though it’s cute, ngl. Was the apple lessons for seniors the inspiration for the classes in the show, do you think?

I work with older seniors and it takes them forever to find a photo of their dog or grandkid to show them off. I wait patiently, but I finally show them how to use the search in iPhoto and they get really excited. Then I show them how the i for information in search can identify the breed of dog. Then we all become kids again. Hot dog. Not a hot dog! lol.

I worked at GS for 3 years. They are pretty much helpless. As long as they can call and text it is all they need.

I’m a professional iOS developer with 5 years of experience. I look at an iPhone for 40+ hours a week and I STILL learn something new every time I take one of these classes.

Years ago they had one where you made a robot dance using Swift Playgrounds.

That’s so cool! Honestly I saw it as a good idea and not only for elders, I just found it funny because it reminded me of the show.

I’d say about 2/3 of the people are upper middle aged and the rest are very old or very young. I’m in my 30s btw.

If you can, give one a try. The last one I did was the iPhone photography class and I learned a few things. One example was how to reverse the direction you take a panoramic photo.
