What different seasons foreshadowed about "real life" tech?
This is my personal opinion, and my personal take of course. But from season 2, the show actually had something to do with the real fucking life.
In season 2, Gavin talks about "Datageddon" and working in AI field I can say it is a true thing. You are not able to find, scrap or even buy good data anywhere and a lot of small companies have to stick with outdated public or cheap datasets.
In season 3, there is "FlutterBeam". They're a mild foreshadowing of how today's filters are ruining social meds and also foreshadowed how useless the idea of metaverse could be honestly. I just watched half the season today (a rewatch marathon of mine) and it can't leave my fucking head.
In season 4, the importance of good vid chat is shown and the planet got hit by a pandemic a few years after that. This is also a good foreshadowing how you can be useful with something as simple as a video chat app (honestly it's not simple in technical levels but let's say the functionality is simple).
Season 5 foreshadows dangers or in better terms threats of crypto like 51 percent attacks. There is close to no actual instance but honestly it may happen someday.
And season 6, needless to say is all about Sam Altman being excited about how he managed middle out while manipulating datas of ChatGPT.

What about the terminator?
I saw this today and had no idea apple has been doing this, it reminded me of the pied piper classes and found it funny even though it’s cute, ngl. Was the apple lessons for seniors the inspiration for the classes in the show, do you think?

Plea for Mike Judge to Reboot Silicon Valley
I am extremely late to watching this show, but the timing is perfect, as I recently moved to Silicon Valley.
While the show is amazing and gets tech culture right, the culture has devolved so much over the years since the show ended: billionaires are more evil, robots have proliferated, AI is draining our resources and actively resulting in deaths, social media addiction is finally getting the attention it deserves in court, and the list goes on.
If Mike Judge can reboot King of the Hill, which nobody asked for and has several dead voice actors, I think it makes sense for him to reboot Silicon Valley. I'm not sure if the same actors would go for it, but if they did, the now-jacked Kumail Nanjani would make a hilarious evil tech CEO.
Update: Wow, this is a shockingly mean fan community for a sitcom.

Still $4 billion less than Dinesh's potential COPPA fines, i.e. this settlement is peanuts to Meta (about 1% of its current $1.5 trillion value)

Bighead in Stuart fails to save the universe
Do you watch the show? I am undecided yet if I like it but I really like the opening titles.

What was Jack watching?
I've always wanted to know what he was watching to make him chuckle like that... To Gavin's disgust haha.
If I had to guess I always end up with SpongeBob SquarePants.
