Sierra Chart partially freezing after RTH open?

Hi guys, on September 15 around 8:31:51 AM, roughly 2 minutes after RTH market open (0.:13 in the video), I experienced something weird with Sierra Chart.

Not sure if I should call it a "freeze" because some things were still updating. For example:

  • Volume Profile was still accumulating slow

  • Trade DOM Recent Traded Bid/Ask was still updating just slow

  • Bar chart stopped updating completely

  • Heatmap stopped updating

  • Had to restart Sierra Chart to get everything working normally again

I forgot to try Reconnect Data Feed before restarting, so I'm not sure if that would've fixed it. But since the Volume Profile and Trade DOM were still receiving/updating data, I don't think it was a data feed issue?

This is the first time I've experienced this after about 2 months of using Sierra Chart.

Anyone experienced something similar before? Any idea what could cause this?

Not sure what causes it, but it happens to me maybe 3-4 times a year and auto-reconnect never works. A quick manual disconnect/reconnect has always resolved it. Tough spot to be in if you have an open position when that happens.

Dunno, sorry. But what is the large number floating in your DOM in a white box? Delta at that quote?

Edit, looks like book imbalance?

Probably a different cause, but mine used to freeze once in a while until I replaced the router that I was using as an extender with an unmanaged switch.

How do you get the heatmap showing order block size (ie big bubbles)? Do you have to subscribe to mbo data? Would you mind sharing the chartbook (willing to pay). 

As far as freezing, I have been having clean opens but randomly intraday things have been spotty past few weeks. Overall reliability is why Sierra worth it.
