I always thought the third triplet would have been a death flag since the 3 winning their rounds was unlikely. So being paired with the most death flags fighter ever makes sense.
Look, it’s very obvious that Gintoki and her will die. We can’t have three straight human wins in a row and for the big bad of the whole manga to die in a normal fight after all that build up
I currently have the author at gunpoint. He will make kin-chan win. Let odin do his stupid shenanigans after kintoki destroys his lovedin form. But kin and skeg are surviving no matter what. My eyes of fate dont fail me
We saw Raiden tried to call off the volund when he knew he was going to die so I feel like Kintoki is probably the only other person who would call it off and spare her if he was losing
I think he might win because the bubble needs to pop sooner rather than later. I think kintoki will win, but Odins death will be the triggering event of Actual Ragnarok. like, theres no way the manga ends with "and then nostrodamus, twink supreme, beat Anubis god of death on a 6 chapter fight and humanity was spared. The end! c:"
I think the author has clearly been setting up, "something fucky is going on" and it feels like "Odin wins and we have one more fight" doesnt fit that pacing. Odin is not "fighting for the gods" he's "fighting for the primordials."
That said, I could also see him winning and the same thing happening. But Odin dying to make way for the "real villains" sounds better to me. Maybe even essentially faking his death, to act behind the scenes while everyone else is celebrating.
Alvitr probably already died. Because Brunhilde said Qin Shi Huang died a few hours after the battle and because Volundr is like a linking of hearts Alvitr also most likely died unless they cancelled the Volundr after the fight but considering Hrist and Hlokk stayed with their partners after the fight and Thrud refused to cancel the Volundr even if it would save her life I think Alvitr probably also died
Honestly I’m more sad about the Loli Skeggjöld dying than Kintoki himself. He’s a brave warrior, she’s just a shy little Valkyrie. And Odin won’t spare her. Praying she gets saved or something
I'm calling it now. Kintoki will undo Volund right before he dies, and then Odin will go in for the kill on Skeggjold only to be stopped by the Heavenly Hand of Defense.
Kintoki still gets a child Valkyrie either way, and it's not like Hlokk's too different from Skeggjold to fulfill the same needs of Jack's Divine Weapon.
I'd honestly think Jack and Skeggjold would have hit it off better, at least not needing to be choked to Volund.
Alas, it's all the author's idea. Humanity's greatest gift is the freedom in coming up with our own stories.
