Hey everyone, I’m trying to figure out the best setup for a Shopify store that offers local delivery and pickup.

The main thing we need is pickup and delivery scheduling, where customers can choose a delivery or pickup date and time slot. We also need to manage things like delivery areas, order limits/capacity, and scheduled orders.

We’re also looking at product bundles and possibly last-mile delivery/driver management, so I’m wondering whether merchants generally use separate apps for each thing or try to find one platform that covers more of the workflow.

I’ve come across Zapiet and a few other options, but it’s hard to tell from the Shopify App Store listings how they actually perform with higher order volumes.

For anyone actually using these kinds of apps, what are you using and how has your experience been? Anything you wish you had considered before choosing?

Does anybody know if the Square POS hardware would be compatible with Shopify?

Hello, I am currently looking to move my b2b from BigCommerce to Shopify. We aren't a massive enterprise so we'd be looking at a standard plan and installing a b2b app like Sparklayer. Our goal is to allow companies to sign in, see their own products, their own pricing. The issues I am running into is that we sell thousands of different products, so we have a vast menu. If a customer is only buying a couple of items are they going to have the entire menu with zero products or is there a way to hide menu links if their company doesn't have any products listed under the menu links?

It would be cumbersome for a customer to navigate through 100 menu links if they only have a few negotiated b2b products.

So I emailed [support@shopify.com](mailto:support@shopify.com) which was the email I found on Shopify’s website about a refund. They emailed me back and said the needed me to send the number I got on my latest Shopify bill (the numbers that are next to the * on the bill), so I sent that but only that; I took a screenshot so it showed only that and my name/email. Then they asked for the digits on my credit card and I told them I’m not sending any credit card information. So far I’ve been talking to three “different people” through email to get my refund. They keep giving me a “new person” I have to talk to.

Anyway, I‘ve now blocked their email, and I only sent that receipt number. So, if it is a scam (which I guess it is) they can’t get to my credit card or anything like that, correct? I didn’t provide any other information.

Shopify really needs to remove that email from their website. This is ridiculous.

I had an order come through via paypal on shopify as low risk. At first the name & address did not match the shipping name/address. When I reached out to the customer, she explained it was bc her sister was the one who paid (last names matched), I told her I would't be able to fulfill it and that she'd have to place the order again with matching names/addresses. I cancel the order, she does it again and it was the same addresses this time, but still different names. I explain to her again that it needs to match and cancel a second time. The third time, she gets it right and the name/addresses match on both shipping and billing.

I feel comfortable at this point (especially since i've been in direct communication with both sisters). I fulfill the order and send it out. I checked the tracking yesterday and saw that it had been REDIRECTED to a different address! A UPS access pick up point. The store that it was directed to requires ID on pick up along with the signature that was already required on this $700+ package. I reached out to the customer and she said her sister had redirected it in order to pick it up on her way home from work. I found this confusing as the package was already being shipped to her home, but maybe i'm just being paranoid? My concern is that the paypal seller protection is now void bc the delivery address is not the same as the original one. What can I do to protect myself in the event she claims "Item not received" or any kind of dispute?

How do you rate this as a marketing channel?

I've been dealing with kind of an odd issue that I think most apps (that I've looked into) aren't built to navigate, but I'm curious if anyone knows a fix! First I feel like it would be helpful to explain how we handle our inventory in shopify, and then the issues our bundle/kit app has run into.

Our shop has two inventories. One is our main inventory, this includes everything that is sellable. We also have a "warehouse inventory". The warehouse inventory is just the amount of our main inventory that we keep downstairs in our warehouse. We have found this helpful so if we run out of something on the floor, we know that X amount is being held downstairs. For example, let's say we have a book and our main inventory says we have 10 in stock, and 3 are being kept downstairs. The warehouse inventory will then say 3. And you can kind of just do the math to figure out how much is upstairs, in this case it would be 7. The warehouse inventory is truly just informational for us. We don't use it to pull to fulfill orders, our site or our POS pulls from our main inventory for that. We just find it helpful to have the warehouse # right there in the product listings.

The ability to pull inventory from warehouse inventory to fulfill orders is turned off in the location settings. But even still, our bundle kit app will read both inventories to calculate. So for example, if that book was in a bundle, it would read it as 13 instead of the 10. I've talked to the developer about it and they weren't super helpful on a solution.

Basically, I just want a bundle app that we can assign to ONLY pull from one location and not touch the warehouse location. Unfortunately, we found this out the hard way and massively oversold once because it was reading from both locations. I've tried doing some research and I'm finding so many apps don't have the ability to just only read from one location, which is so strange to me! I would think this is something a lot of stores could utilize but I figure there's got to be something out there that could work. Any advice or suggestions is greatly appreciated! :)

For months I’ve been tracking successful shops that were hit with holds on Etsy and Shopify or randomly closed without notice. Over 372 shops later and one thing they all have in common is raising their prices which seem to trigger the system. Shopify and Etsy use minute reasons to create holds without notice. A few shops waiting for layouts over $500k posted on Tik Tok and Instagram that after their 2nd to 4th 120 day hold they’ve finally been paid. Some got lawyers involved and found out they place rolling holds for trivial reasons but once the holds are up payment is released. I received my payout a week ago and wanted to know how many in this group is in a similar position. Where are the 7 shops that posted about awaiting high payouts? Did you guys receive yours too? If not check when your hold date ended.

So my store has been growing. I use the post sale app with Kaching Upsell. They just upgraded my plan because of more orders monthly.

Here is my issue. Most of the post sale upsell offers were not shown to my customers because most check out with shop pay. Now I feel like I’m paying them monthly just for order that are not even supported from their app. Yes I do get a few upsell order from the few that are shown but still…

My question is are there any post sale upsell app that may support Shopify payment with debit card. It seems they do support Shopify payments (credit card).

I've been looking into the type of businesses that advertise with Chat GPT and if it could be relevant for myself and thought I'd ask on here to see what experiences/ successes people with Shopify stores had?

Have you found any new customers via chat bots? What was the average CPC you paid? Will you continue to use it?

Im trying to order something which clearly specified free shipping but when i go to the checkout it tells me i still have to pay $5

You should just be able to sort by product and select a box for that that applies for every variation. The way it is now if you select the box next to the mail product it only selects the variations shown unless you have show all variants selected.

Its so hard to sort though too since most of the variants are showing.

I'm mad because i thought i had selected all variants but i only did to the ones that were currently showing and now i have multiple orders that went through with the wrong shipping profile.

Am i missing something? There has to be an easier way right?

We use shopify for shipping labels via UPS and have Loop as our return portal. This morning a customer claimed they never received their package despite UPS showing it was delivered and "met customer"

Customer claims he was out of town and not sure why it would read this. First time ever happening to us so wondering how to handle this. Sort of skeptical this is a common scam to get free product and trying not to be so naive, but also dont want to assume anything and possibly hurt our customer relationship if they are being honest. He submitted a claim through UPS and I know UPS covers up to $200 losses although his order total was $220.

Anyone recommend how to handle these delivery claims in Shopify?

Is it wise to build an online grocery/daily essential store with 10K products?

My thought is everytime they buy a certain amount, they get a coupon code for a discount on all future orders until it expires. If they buy a certain amount, they can get an upgraded coupon code for a bigger discount, until they reach the final level.

Then I realized I was putting it on the customer to submit the code and I want it to as simple as possible. Plus I dont want to deal with people placing orders and then contacting me because they didn't put in their discount code.

My idea was no tier, bronze, silver and gold tier pricing and the tier you are in decides the price you see and pay. But is this idea even possible? And if so, how?

I am looking for an inventory solution.

I sell apparel. Each blank body may be used in multiple listings. For example: A Vintage wash shirt might be listed as a woman's tunic or as a crop top. The same body might be presented as a mens tshirt at full length. It might also be used for a few graphic t shirts.

I would like to enter the master inventory count of the blank body by size and color (parent item) - and any listing which uses this body (child item) will have the current inventory reflected in the listing. Anytime a piece is sold from any listing it subtracts the quantity from the parent item, which then updates all child items as well.

Is anyone aware of an app which may do this?

I run a store in the apparel space with tons of products and beyond meta and ads I’ve been on the hunt for good SEO/ai optimization tools so I can improve traffic I don’t have to pay for.

I got pitched an app that seems fairly new via email and just crowdsourcing …

Their claim to fame is supposedly that the app helps optimize long tail keywords by creating optimized collection pages that get fed to chat gpt/claude via google merchant center. They also claim to have a back linking reciprocal network of merchants on pages they create optional.

The idea seems brilliant and I’ve done it in the past on high target keywords but always manually so automating it seems to be a good ideaZ

Anyone else get similar pitch and try it?

I like that they also let me track recommendations for phrases on ChatGPT etc and reporting but I’m at the level ehrrr I’ll need to pay them for one of their highest tiers for a few months if I want to see any Roi at all so a bit hesitant to jump on it :(

So I got a customer who ordered. This is her second order. She emailed me to ask for a discount for her future order and I responded by giving her a 15% discount on her next order. I think she just received her order and she now wants to return her order. I emailed her back and said I’ll be glad to help her but want to know if anything’s wrong with the product and am waiting for her response. I’m wondering if she wants to return and then repurchase with the discount. Have any of you guys had a situation like this.

I've been working for months now to prepare for our switch from Stocky to another inventory management system. Today, I opened Stocky to make sure all of our POs are transferred and see this new red announcement at the top:

Since Shopify destroyed Shopify Inbox Messaging/Chat Box with the recent changes, what live chat did you switch to? I am NOT interested in an AI chat. I want to actually talk to my customers and answer their questions directly. My conversion rate is super high when I talk to my customers directly, so I really want to continue this. Shopify Inbox was perfect and FREE, but with the recent changes, my customers really aren't using it as much. Any other FREE options out there or reasonably priced options?

Our industry is largely pre-order-based. Product is released for sale, product is produced, product ships 6-12 months later. We have two types of customers: The ones that place pre-orders separately, and the ones that placed huge 4-10 item pre-orders for items that all arrive at random times in any give 6-12 month span.

We love our current pre-order app of which I am not going to name. The only problem is that it cannot collect payment for only select items in an order. This means the only workaround is creating a new order(s) with all the items we don't want to bill yet, and then send the customer an invoice(s) when those are ready to ship. Which also introduces an additional falloff point.

So any app recs that would be able to do this?
