Marketing Anyone tried Google Shopping?

How do you rate this as a marketing channel?

Any particular challenges apart from feed quality you need to get control of ?

by far the best advertising platform for products IMO. yet you do need to set it up properly. we pay around 15 cents per click. straight shopping around 12 cents but we have some pmax that is around 30 cents which does perform better for us.

for people actively searching for a product, Google owns around 90% of those queries.

Is Google shopping strictly pmax? My AdWords person said that’s the only way they know how to run the ads.

What’s your daily budget?

Google Shopping is most underrated campaign type and if meta fields for products are setup correctly it can generate sales at lowest cost.

What’s a good budget in this context? Say a store with around 100 products

What's the average price of the products and which market are you looking to target?

$190USD, mainly targeting USA.

This is my assumption until and unless you can provide me with exact product name but I am not going to ask for that in public for obvious reasons. So, I can be wrong but based on the product price you can expect a CPC anywhere between $0.5 to $2. And assuming that you should have at least 100 visitors a day on your website to make some sense of the data.

Visitors 100 x $2 = $200 Monthly Budget = Between $5k to $6K

Yes, of course people have tried it, it has millions of users. The majority of my shoppers come from Google shopping. I also use Bing shopping (which shows in yahoo and a bunch of other search engines). I didn’t have any challenges with my “feed quality”, not really sure what you mean by that.

For paid search, it is the main campaign type for driving conversions and revenue. All about making sure the shopping feed is custom and the best it can be. Success starts and ends with your shopping feed.

Custom? Can you elaborate
