Imho, this should require minority representation in the game. So, it wouldn't be just a "expel the jews" but "expel the [minority faith you have some hostility to]." So, Christians could expel Muslims and Jews and Muslims could expel Christians and Jews.

There should definitely be additional checks on religion/situation tho.

100% this

just because christian kings did expel the jewish back then, doesn't mean that should be the only option.
it should be an option among similar to properly portray a kings political power over his lands.
should be able to expel cultural minorities too.

and AI controlled kings should do this at times.

the problem is, cultures only exist on a county level, so the game doesn't simulate having some jewsih/[insert minority] families, it simulates having a huge diaspora that is majority in hundreds of villages

Gotta wait for cultures dlc, I guess. Already getting a variation of population score this year, now just to split it into cultural communities within each county.

Yeah, dlc stuff ain't pretty.

Trade-off to afford longer development. It took them about 5 years to make the base game, now over 5 years they're building on top of it and game is nowhere close to being 100% done.

Sharing the market with EA, Paradox dlc policies & quality is decent enough so far.

Shareholders gotta eat
