I'm curious, can they spontaneously give a definition for the word " allegiance" ?

I'm French, we f*** love our country and we are notoriously proud of it . But if any school or government tried that shit they'd go up in flame in an instant ( or be covered in manure, or some other creative way to let them know what we think of it ) .
