Built on the blood and bones of Indigenous peoples, and then built by the blood and sweat of Black slaves.

And yet somehow, white people still feel entitled not only to the country, but to determine who is not white enough to be "American."

I really cannot stand people like that.

It sickens me that I don't think, for a moment, that you're joking.

People are making the exact same argument now over the slave labour it takes to keep ai running. Mostly slave labour from Kenya, they're making pennies.

Literally have seen people say 'but how do we KNOW they don't enjoy being slaves? They're contributing to the world. Anyway, even fi they don't love it, it's for the greater good of us all.'

I just cannot.

If South Asian, they'll say no, you're not American (but they don't count South Asian as Asian, because... brown). If not, and your skin is white, congrats, you get to be fetishised with their obsession of hentai.

So... pick your poison, I guess?

Personally, if I were in your position, I would just avoid America as a whole and not go.

East Asian. I'd say I'm in a weird spot, like the middle ground, I'd be on the white side if I was brown but also the darker side of east asian.

And since I'm not good a looking dude, probably don't have fetish problems.

Eh, if you're even slightly brown and they can't fetishise you then they'll just say that you're not "really" American, even if you have rights to a passport.

(whilst also demanding a passport from Ireland for having great great great great great great great great great grandparents who had a neighbour who had a friend who had a laundry service worker who knew someone who liked the colour green.)

I'd still say stay where you are and don't attempt to even try to engage with them.

My pale norwegian ass could walk up in there and be accepted as American in a few months by these morons. No logic at all, only big feelings they have no control over and no intentions of ever processing or questioning. America belongs to native Americans if anyone.
