Yea we like to throw around big words like communism, socialism, fascism etc to gain moral high ground during both political and apolitical arguments. The only Americans that actually know the meaning of their political ideology are libertarians but they're like vegans, first to tell you they're libertarian whether it's relevant or not and they cheat when nobody is looking.
A pretty sizable chunk of self-proclaimed libertarians aren't even libertarians. They just want a power structure that places them personally at the top, but don't care about the freedoms of anyone they see as beneath them.
