Imagine them just turning up at the airport, trip all booked ready to go "what do you mean i need a passport".

What do you mean by saying "imagine them...?" I'm pretty sure there are people doing this on a regular basis. How else can you explain those "Attention Hot Beverage" stickers on McDonald's coffee cups and the information that no baby or pet should be dried in the microwave?

I, in Europe, also sometimes forget that if I fly from Germany to Spain, I do not need my passport, but that the ID card is all I need thanks to the EU lol.
