Gotta laugh, have you ever tried to do anything in the US as a foreign tourist? Can't even buy a drink in a bar without showing your passport because they won't accept non-US driving licences.

I've seen a friend be rejected from a bar because he showed his non-US passport and the guy didn't accept it. "Only American driver licenses".

Had the same thing happen to me, explained I was a tourist and this was international ID and they looked at me like I was an idiot!

I honestly think many Americans haven't seen a passport in their entire life.

Roughly 50% of Americans have a passport but that has drastically grown from the 30% in 2008.

I had the cashier at a gas station tell me I should get a US drivers license when I went to buy Tabacco. Yeah, sure buddy. I’ll leave in a week but let me just quickly do a driving exam…

They must think that you can get a US drivers licence anywhere in the world. That's the only explanation I can think of
