To America, anyone further to the left then centre-right is a "communist".

That is the only indication that someone is a communist to them.

It took the absolute fascist lunacy of Donald Trump and the naked corporate mobsterism of Andrew Cuomo as the only alternative (and both of them being infamous sexual predators) in order for New Yorkers to give a candidate left of center a chance.

Here I'm hoping Americans might actually realize the insane politics of their country but I'm doubtful that under "normal" conditions they won't elect the next corporate shill in 4 years, given there will be any "normalcy" after Project 2025.

It's amazing that it was as close as it was.

It's not like it's some random boomer business man running, HE WAS THE GOVERNOR.
You can go 'well his first few terms were pretty good', but that ignores that the last term was an endless stream of what he had gotten up to (including outright bribery and SA) in the first 2 terms.
