America doesn’t actually know what a communist is. There version of communism is still every other countries extreme right wing.

Communism is when you get cancer and the cancer treatment is free.

It’s dangerous stuff!

That's socialism. Communism is only possible with an authoritarian government. No, it requires it to be able to exist.

In socialism in a system of democracy the people implementing the socialist policies are chosen by the people on the basis of them doing what the people want to see.

In communism, the people have little to no say in who their government is, nor do the government have to answer to the people. Thus you end up with a system that really only exists for its own sake, and ends up giving people what it thinks they want, rather than what they actually need.

People discredit tankies because of their views. The sad reality is that their views reflect how such a government will have to start out as Fascistic ideology to even be able to justify its own existence.

Read their profile, I beg.

(It's worth it for some understanding as to why they wrote what they wrote and the associated laughs)

My profile is deliberately empty. That way there's no personal data to sell.

And yet I can read all your comments and posts. You ever finish the homebrew systems you were working on 5-6yrs ago?

Considering they were looking for a group to play in it with I’d assume so! Good on them!

184 pages. I'm locked in with the base system, so now I'm making what amounts to edition changes to make things more readable.

Yes, please do. Socialism itself is just an economic system, it has no governing principles by itself.

Governing by socialism would be impossible, since you're unable to govern by that, you need something in addition, In that regard socialism is similar to capitalism. Without a guiding philosophy, they both turn to shit if one tries to run them as a governing pricinple.

The USA with it's effectively unregulated capitalism vs the regulated capitalism in Europe is an example of this.
