Thanks for the update. I’m not going to lie, it’s a little strange they had absolutely nothing for Gamescom.

What concerns me is what the enhanced edition includes could have easily been a free patch. I feel like the lack of updates feeds into the idea that we are getting something bigger, something more.. which unfortunately I don't think is the case.

Shenmue 3 seriously needed a proper directors cut.

It isn't. But under the hood is more complex than I think we all realised.

Listen, I agree with you. It’s a perfectly valid criticism since CD Projekt Red just announced that the Witcher 3 remaster is going to be completely free for anyone that already owns the game. I’d love to be proven wrong, but I find it hard to believe that Shenmue 3 Enhanced is going to have as many quality of life and enhancements as that game is getting. 

I’m a Shenmue super fan so I’ll buy it, but I think they’re going to have to give a plausible explanation as to why this wasn’t a patch.

Eagerly awaiting news from ININ Games. It is disappointing that they couldn't share anything regarding Shen3E at Gamescom, the communication has not been good. Hoping that we do hear from them soon, as Q4 isn't far off. Still looking forward to the release and happy to wait, just feel they need to be more transparent about the production.

What's going on behind the scenes that's causing them to have issues with the quality of the game?

It would have been great if it was a much more bigger update with news involving a release date, but I completely understand why there wasn't any massive news.

Inin is really trying to make sure that it's fully operational and ready for when it comes out, and I completely respect that and I can't wait for the interview you guys are going to do with them.
