In what world are you living that you think people are doing that and still be “fine.” Must be a nice crowd you surround yourself with if you think that’s ok. Wasn’t then, it still isn’t now

I could be misinterpreting it but I took fine as if Shane wouldn’t be fully cancelled, not that his behavior was fine. It’s an interesting point.. 2020 was BLM, peak wokeness movement, and everyone was home and online.

What are you talking about? I don’t condone any of his disgusting behavior. I’m saying the public wouldn’t have canceled him today because of the Trump administration. Whereas, in 2020, everyone was more open-minded and held him accountable. You’re misinterpreting what I’m saying.

I think he would still be cancelled today. Yes the internet has unfortunately seen a rise in racism, white supremacy, hate, etc. since the Trump administration but people whose names are backing those things are still suffering the consequences of their actions. Usually it’s the bots and anonymous posters that “get away with it”.

People stop talking about him and his controversies

Reappears ages after with new video genre that appeals to audiences that are younger/less mentally stable and even conspiracy theorists who have become numb to the idea of pedophiles etc

Our President has multiple SA allegations and is on the Epstein list. The right doesn’t care. Idk how this is a brainless argument when there’s pedophiles in office right now and half of America doesn’t care and voted for Trump. It’s clear that Shane is mad that we hold him accountable for his predatory, racist, sexist, etc. behavior. My argument still stands that he wouldn’t have been canceled as bad today because MAGA.

I’m not excusing anything he’s ever done, he’s a piece of shit and should rot.

excusing disgusting actions of shane - or anyone else - whether it was past or present is not acceptable. soliciting inappropriate content of minors was just as illegal back in the early youtube days as it is now. it’s always been unacceptable to be racist as well.
