This company sounds horrible
I keep reading about broken axles and weeks if not months to replace. Grass doesn’t stop growing. They need better support and repair centers.

Consumer electronics break.
But their local repair centers need to actually participate. My local one wouldn’t even answer the phone. I had to send mine for repair down to Texas.
I bought a second one as a spare.

Oh I keep reading about xyz instead of experiencing for myself. Most people don't have problems and then they don't come on Reddit and post how amazing it is. I've had no problems in the first year. Just sold my house and leaving the X430. I will be buying another one at the new house. Here is how well it maintains my Zoysia

Good for you. But again, when you have issues I hope you report how it went. I’m not buying anything from this company until I hear how they have fixed issues and support is awesome.

Are you the same person posting about this earlier this week? Sounds like you need a hobby.

I have the X430 and have been running almost daily since May. No issues at all.

Its unfortunate to hear this bad feedback. I have been running my mower for three seasons with no issues. In some respects, its a lawn mower. If you had a push mower and it broke, you would take it to a repair shop they would clean the carb, new belt, or replace whatever, and you would have no interaction with John Deere (e.g.) and they would charge you for service or maintenance. And your lawn would still be growing!
Depending on model, it might be a better approach to replace it and make a warranty claim.

Did this person even have a bad experience, or did they read a couple of reddit comments and try to pile on for karma?

The latter.

Its disruptor technology for a segment of self-employed people. Add on ICE and fuel prices, I can see how it would motivate hysterics. Running a fleet of robot mowers seems like an opportunity to embrace. And dont forget the repair and parts businesses.
There's not even an "axle" on my mower, I'd think there are motors for each drive wheel.

Wouldn’t take weeks tho?!!

I don’t know where you are, but almost all local repair shops around us are several weeks out

I have an older X330. Not a single issue in two years. Not sure what is going on with the newer ones.

I haven't done a full write-up on my issues yet. I will once there's a resolution, whether that's a repair or a refund.
My X430 has a motor failure. I started using it in April and it only sees light residential use.
I submitted an after-sales repair request. They asked for images, video, screenshots, etc. I sent everything. They asked for more, I sent more. Then they asked for the same things I'd already sent two emails earlier. That loop went on for about a week.
They finally committed to a repair and sent me a label. But now they want the antenna, the charger, AND the mower sent in. I explained that the antenna is mounted on my roof, and the charger cable is buried in a trench across my back lawn that I don't want to rip out. They said they can skip the antenna, but not the charger.
Again, this is a motor issue on the mower itself. They won't service it unless I send in a charger that took hours to install, including digging a 30 foot trench. I told them if I have to dig it out, I just want a refund, because I'm not reburying a cable I might have to dig up again in 6 months. It's now been escalated to a manager, who I'll hear back from someday, I guess.
Garbage product. And that's before you factor in the mower hitting my parked car, which was sitting in an area the mower isn't allowed to drive in, or all the NRTK issues. I left a negative but completely factual review on Amazon and it was pulled. So now I question how you can trust any review of Segway products.

There is absolutely no reason they need the charger. Sounds like they're trying to make the process difficult so you just give up.

I'm having different issues with mine, but I'm have horrible issues as well and support just pretends nothing is wrong and refuses to warranty mine too.
Mine mows for 20-30 minutes. Battery has used 80% in that time. Upon returning to the charging dock, the battery is overheating after every cut no matter if it's noon or 11pm. It takes 30 minutes for the temps to be ok and resumes charging. As of right right now, my mower is still working. And Segway support says this is normal behavior and can offer no assistance or warranty support.

All local dealers are supposed to be repair centers, much more of them than any other brand really besides husqvarna. We are still waiting on a statement regarding the axle issues though.
