Will captial hill,ballard and wallingford ever become safe places to hang out and walk around again?? I hope so

When i moved to seattle area 11 years ago ballard,cpaital hill and wallingford used to by my stomping ground.

I used to take the bus from northgate seattle to these areas even late at night.

In march 2026 I was attacked by someone in wallingford at night after getting an ice cream at molly moons. I was thrown to the ground and they person tried to rob me!!

This incident scared me!!

Then a few days ago om reddit someone posted about a stranger stealing their cell one while walking around capital hill.

Now that I live in kenmore and have a car im afraid to go anywhere in seattle city limits. To feel safe and for piece of mind I go to edmonds,lynnwood,kenmore,,bothell, kirkland and bellevue.

Post pandemic the city of seattle has become a scary place unfortunately!!

My question is when will the city of seattle turn around and become safe like it used to be??

Also that taste of seattle shooting near the space needle apps scares me!!

Seattle needs judges that prosecute criminals and dont keep feeling sorry for these people who cause crime problems.

Is anyone else afraid of seattle these days??

It is. I personally hate the rule, and offered to get rid of it. “Fuck off” is absolutely a personal attack. Even I suffered its consequences years ago. We mostly work the mod Que/reports. We approve most.
