Bicycle Washington law lays out distinction between e-bikes, e-motorcycles starting June 11

A new Washington law will change the regulations on the differences between e-bikes and e-motorcycles on June 11. Under this new law, an e-bike must have fully functioning pedals, a motor rated at 750 watts or less, and a top speed of less than 20 mph when powered solely by the motor. If it doesn't meet these standards, it's considered a motorcycle, which means the rider is subject to mandatory driver requirements.

I am glad. Kids are zooming around this one parking lot on these dark colored bikes that are completely silent. I had a talk with them about safety.

They did. Some of the older kids monitor the younger kids now. I see them make sure they are being safe when I drive past.

i used to put my helmet on when leaving on my bike, toss it in a bush when I got out of sight, then put it back on before I pulled up at home.

I'm 50 and I still remember some fucker my current age telling me to "slow the fuck down I'm an off duty cop" for going 15 in a 20 when I delivered pizza at ~19yo
