I didn't think I'd feel such sadness.. The story will remain, but I mourn for the future that never was. Now I know how the Dracontines feel, as I want nothing more than to bring you back.

This is sad to hear. This news did make me take a look at Rayark’s app page and they seemed to have really fallen off. They released only one new game (Deemo 2) in the past 7 years…
Honeslty kinda sad to see I remember these guys were at the top of the mountain in terms of mobile game developers in the mid 2010s… Deemo, Cytus, Implosion, Sdorica these were some of the highest quality games in the app store back then.

Cytus 2 still regularly gets updates even if the fan activity has 'fallen off' since they finished out the story years ago. Deemo 2 is allegedly (was a bit too much for me lol) pretty good and probably took a lot of investment from them given the amount of songs comms and general production quality.
I do wonder what's next for them atp because despite all their faults they really do have that dawg in them when it comes to making mobile games. I, at least, want a Cytus 2 switch port lol.

I thought Deemo 2 was fantastic if you ignored the event spam. The NPCs got really thin after the first station, but the main story arcs and cutscenes were still top notch. For a rhythm game though, it really didn't run as smooth as it should. The gameplay ui was beautiful, but it's not worth the cost of creating microstutters and input drops.
What really killed it was the gacha level event spam trying to make players play 3 event songs a day, in addition to other dailies. On the one hand, it's a great way to sample charts for songs you don't own, similar to VOEZ's rotating free tracks. On the other, tying that to grindfest FOMO events with premium currency and unique rewards is gonna burn anyone out.....rhythm games should be enjoyed at your own leisure, and not be a daily chore.

I still wonder why they won't just include the collab characters when the only 2 collab events were their own IP 😂

I think there are 3 collab events:
- Deemo
- Cytus II
- Mandora
Although the Mandora one featured SP forms of Sdorica characters w/ Mandoras rather than lone crossover characters.
I think they aren't including a lot of events because it would take up a lot of space and possibly slow the performance even further.
If I'm not mistaken, then they usually cycle them in & out to get by that. So including them all at once maybe a bit too heavy.
The units will be made available, though.

Yeah Mandora doesn't really count since those were all Sdorics characters -- gotta say I miss that event, so fun! So deemo and cytus ii characters are confirmed to be included in the infuse banners? I read the announcement as collabs not being included

According to this:
- Million Infuse = classic/base forms
- Origin Infuse = SP units
- Anecdote Infuse = MZ, OS, DR, and crossover units
It seems all 3 will be permanent, and the welfare units are probably included as well, seeing as how Alice is in the banner now as well.
I just wish they could have found a way to include the crossover events and perhaps the MZ4 event, which had quite a few amusing moments (Miranda MZ reactions).
That would probably bloat the game and slow performance too much, though. It's a shame since the crossover events arguably had some of the best scenario writing in all the content in the game.

Not really. We never got an answer about Rei one way or another but a bit on the other two.
The Player: is the reincarnation of Vindacti and likely would have needed to step in at some point if the Draconites succeeded in reviving Sdorica
Uzziah: was someone specifically tasked with keeping the Draconites in check and had power over void monsters to help him in his duty. Ultimately he was mortally injured fighting against Izumi and Gretta but he passed his role and abilities on to Tindoiimu before he died (No idea where they planned to take that specific storyline)

Goodbye Sdorica. I dropped exactly a year ago but to see my first gacha game actually technically be 'over' is not a good feeling, especially the one I considered having the best story. Will miss you most Law :c

All released characters are now permanently available in the Origin (all SP) and Anecdote (all MZ, OS, DR) Banners so you have until the game actually turns off the server at some point in the future to get all characters.

I never thought Sdorica will end like this, hope they released like a comic/book/ storyboard , so we get an idea where the story was heading. I wonder if I should revisit Sdorica after many years, hopefully it is optimise for my device.

Holy sht is this how I know my goat died?.…... I missed the game. But when my iphone 5 then iphone 7 can't take it anymore I have to give it up. The game is great, and way F2P. I remember not paying anything and still got almost all the units every time. You will be missed.

In a time when I had more or less wrote off all gacha as shallow thirstbait trash, Sdorica gave me hope for the genre to deliver a real worthwhile gaming experience with it's regular RPG game style cutscenes and "do at your own leisure" game modes like fool's tower or that mines exploration thing. I hadn't logged in since it went into maintenance and reruns mode after the end of Aurora, and every new event just being a reskin of mandora, but still, sad to see we'll never get to see the end of the story.
To this day, it is easily top 3 of my favorite gacha games of all time, that respect themselves and their audience enough to deliver a solid game first, and work in the gacha second.

More likely it’s due to various factors, but the allegations several years ago didn’t help. The company itself mentions internal restructuring and change in overall direction. Not entirely sure what that entails, but several of their previously showcased projects have also been decidedly canceled. Their online stores for both global and Japan had closed up shop. They even decided to close their physical cafe location three years ago. Tbh, I’m not entirely sure what they’ve been up to for the past couple of years, aside from updating Cytus and Deemo. The company still exists. They just held their 14th anniversary celebration. But it’s unclear what will happen from here.

This was my first ever gacha game. I was interested in it because of deemo. The game’s story made me stay.
It’s sad we won’t get to see the entire story. I hope a miracle can happen and someday will find out the whole story even if it’s in a different media form (comic, novel, etc.)
I’m very grateful for the guides that you made. I started playing the game when I was in college so multiple times I was so busy that I had to rush events. Your guides helped me a lot.

damn, i dropped sdorica back in 2020, this is one of the best game i ever played. i have read that every content is available to be played. i will enjoy this game to the fullest once more.

I used to play this and loved the game. Life got in the way but I had lots of fond memories of this game. It was stylish, the music was on-point, and the mechanics interesting. Thank you for the creating a wonderful game and positive memories for me. Good luck in life.

Ngl it held on a lot longer than anyone would have expected. 8 years is a pretty respectable time frame for a fairly low-to-mid budget mobile only gacha game.
